Session Information

New Session: March – November 2024

If you love the music of the Great White Way, here's your chance to belt it out and have a great time with a fun group of like-minded people!

All of our songs have great accompaniment tracks and lots of variety and close 4-part harmony. You will have access to all the learning tracks and the accompaniment to practice with at home so we can put everything together at rehearsals. There will be opportunities for several short solos and duets within the arrangements as well.

Rehearsals will be lively, efficient and full of laughter. See you there! (And bring your friends!)

Participation fee: $25

No one will be turned away from Power Chords due to inability to pay.

To inquire about joining the session already in progress, please email Lorraine Barrows.

About our music director

Lorraine Barrows
Power Chords Director

I am a recently retired music teacher who grew up in the backyard of a summer stock theater. With a new show every week, I heard a lot of show music and I'm really excited to share it with you!

As a teacher and musical theatre director, my greatest pride has been in helping singers and performers reach their greatest potential.

I have also directed award-winning adult barbershop show choruses and for 10 years was the director of education for the international women's barbershop organization. As part of my responsibilities there, I travelled North America and New Zealand conducting a cappella workshops and concerts for high school, college and adult singers.

I love any genre of popular music, but show tunes are my favorite!
